‘I cannot wonder, that Queens forego, for a while the Compliments of a Nation, to receive the Tribute of the Parterre; or withdraw from all the Glitter of a Court, to be attended with the much more splendid Equipage of a Bed of Flowers'
As part of a job working with a textiles student, I photographed printed materials in an interior design context. The photos featured were used in a lookbook called 'Blessings in disguise'. The lookbook takes its main inspiration from the 1746 publication by Rev. James Hervey, ‘Reflections On A Flower-garden: In A Letter To Lady’, in which the idiom below first appeared in print.
My role was lead field photographer and this series of work won top awards including Texselect and Epson Textile Visionary Award.
